The Children’s Discipleship Ministry, nursery through fifth grade, at Harvest is called Higher Ground. It is based on the concept of living life on the Rock – Jesus (Matthew 7:24). Our time together on Sunday features age-appropriate large group worship and teaching, coupled with small group time which is led by dedicated volunteers who help the children further explore and apply the truths of God's Word.

We also utilize a format in which the parents and children work together during the week to learn essential building blocks for their faith, establishing a strong foundation as they start on the journey of being disciples of Jesus.

Higher Ground is also about reaching out. Special events are used throughout the year to challenge our kids to be outwardly focused. These include programs such as Rock the Block neighborhood Bible clubs and ministries focused elsewhere in the community and around the world. We teach our children that God wants us to make disciples of all nations and they can have a part in that.

Higher Ground is offered each Sunday morning starting at 8:45 a.m.
