Edition 2009.1

Welcome to the Harvest Pantry newsletter.  We are excited about this ministry and anxiously await what our Lord is going to do through the Pantry. 

Here are some highlights of how God has blessed us already.

1. We have been become an approved organization to receive products from the Midwest Food Bank
2. We have been donated 40' of commercial grade shelving for storing products
3. We have been in contact with Panera Bread to receive their overstock of breads.  This looks very promising
4. We have had an abundance of initial workers
5. God has blessed us financially and fully funded our initial start up costs

Prayer requests:

1. We covet a strong team of prayer warriors that will support this ministry
2. That we would be frugal and good stewards of resources that God has provided
3. That we would gain a strong basis of monthly supporters ($1/day or $30/month)
4. That God would lead us to people who need assistance
5. That we would view this ministry as much more than just providing food assistance;  God would be glorified by the witness and outreach of our people
6. That we would have wisdom in designing teams for logistics, order prep and delivery teams
7. That we would establish policies that would be prudent and above reproach
